Coldwell Banker Commercial

Coldwell Banker Commercial begins operations in San Francisco California in 1906 in the City of San Francisco by Colbert Coldwell and Benjamin Banker.

During the 1900s, Coldwell Banker was a public company and belonged to the Roebuck group. Since the 1980s, CBC has been a part of the largest holding of real estate brokerage companies in the world Realogy LLC, which includes Coldwell Banker, C21, Better Homes and Gardens, ERA and Sotheby's.

Coldwell Banker Commercial began operations in Mexico at the end of 2011, while Coldwell Banker has been operating in Mexico since 1991, during which time it has developed a network of more than 900 agents in Mexico specializing in residential real estate.

In the commercial sector, CBC has developed an integrated and experienced team of professionals with more than 20 years of experience in real estate.

Today CBC has a team of more than 60 professionals specializing in 15 service areas.

Luis Méndez

President

Mr. Méndez has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. He obtained his law degree at the Ibero-American University and holds a diploma in Real Estate Marketing from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Monterrey. He is also a graduate of the Executive Management Program (AD-2) at the Universidad Panamericana IPADE Business School. Mr. Méndez is the current president of the ICEI (Instituto Comercial e Industrial).

In 2011, he began Coldwell Banker Commercial Mexico’s operations as its president and founding partner. Mr. Méndez has participated in the marketing of more than 16,145,866 sq. ft. of office space in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara. He is an expert at representing the interests of investors and real estate developers as well as providing consulting services to companies that are relocating or consolidating their headquarters. Mr. Méndez has overseen investments for some of the most important REITs in Mexico with holdings exceeding $800 million. One of his key achievements was the sale of six buildings valued at $364 million for the REIT Fibra Uno. Mr. Méndez has also participated in sales at premium properties including the Torre Mayor, the Torre Diana, Centro BBVA Bancomer, land for General Motors and the upscale Mexico City shopping center Antara.

Phillip Hendrix

General Director

Phillip Hendrix founded Coldwell Banker Affiliates of Mexico and is its current General Director. He has succeeded in turning the real estate firm into the most important in Mexico with 74 franchises and 1,000 agents in 21 states across the republic.

In 2011, Mr. Hendrix founded Coldwell Banker Commercial together with Luis Méndez. Mr. Hendrix serves as CBC’s Corporate Director and is responsible for the firm’s finances, administration and business development. The recipient of various national and international recognitions and awards, one of Mr. Hendrix’s key successes has been to position Coldwell Banker Mexico as the third most important commercial real estate entity for Coldwell Banker internationally as well as securing the firm’s success at being recognized as a key contributor to the development of the real estate industry in Mexico.

Marco Otero

Operations Director

Marco Otero Carreto’s specialty in commercial real estate has been developed over a 17-year career at international commercial real estate companies including CB Richard Ellis and Coldwell Banker Comercial.

Mr. Otero speaks English, Spanish and French. A marketing professional, he has developed strategies and campaigns for a diversity of clients and real estate developers.


In 2011, Mr. Otero created and launched Coldwell Banker Commercial’s operating platform in Mexico and he serves as the firm’s Operations Director in charge of strategic management of the firm’s marketing, advertising, market research, legal, administrative, human resources, and information technology divisions. Among his many responsibilities is being in charge of the integrated platform that provides the services and tools needed to support Coldwell Banker Commercial’s clients’ business decisions.

Professional with 20 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate | Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana; Diploma in Commercial and Industrial Real Estate (ITAM) | PIC Certification | Collaborates with AAA companies both nationally and internationally | Is in charge of flagship buildings in Mexico City | Has won several awards, including first place for 2 consecutive years as the broker who has made the largest number of transactions with other companies | Has various awards such as "The Coldwell Banker Commercial Holding".

Alejandro Vinicio Martinez L.

Marcel Widmer

Project Management

Senior Vice President

Marcel Widmer has more than 30 years of experience in consulting services and project management. His professional experience includes work as the corporate technical director at Morgan Stanley Atlas S.A., a leading real estate developer. Mr. Widmer is the General Director and Founder of WINCO S.A. de C.V., a company specializing in project management and consulting for important projects in the industrial, cultural and real estate markets. Mr. Widmer has extensive experience in developing international business and projects in Europe, Africa, and America principally in the industrial, cultural and real estate sectors. He holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Mr. Widmer has also served as a consultant and assessment advisor in different organizations and chambers.

José Nacif

Land & Development

Senior Vice President

José Nacif has 25 years of experience in residential real estate. His specialties in the industry include consulting, valuations, and real estate brokerage services as well as management and consulting to real estate developers and investors and increasing real estate values. Mr. Nacif holds a Public Accounting Degree from Mexico’s National Autonomous University as well as a Master’s Degree in Senior Management from the Colegio de Graduados en Alta Dirección. He is a recognized speaker and conference leader in the real estate sector.

Arturo Lechuga

Director

Arturo Lechuga is director of CBC’s corporate offices. He has 12 years of experience in commercial services, new business development, strategy and execution and follow through on master real estate plans. His focus is on corporate strategy including the implementation and use of diagnostic tools and analysis for identifying companies’ needs and producing positive returns on investment. Mr. Lechuga’s management experience includes reporting and financial analysis and deep knowledge of the commercial real estate market and the development of market intelligence. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from Anahuac University with a diploma in finance. Mr. Lechuga is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Carlos E. Garcia Varela has 23 years of experience in real estate services, marketing and client representation. Allan Devars | Corporate Real Estate Solutions | Senior Vice President
Allan Devars has more than 18 years of experience in real estate in Mexico City with a specialty in commercial real estate. He is a graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is responsible for establishing and developing Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Global Corporate Services platform in Mexico. Mr. Devars has wide experience providing consulting services to national and international companies including providing master real estate plans and in operations with varying degress of complexity.

Mr. Devars has been deeply involved in a series of operations of great importance in the office real estate market. His experience includes key leadership in the management of transactions for Google, where Mr. Devars represented the company for five years beginning with its initiation of operations in Mexico and including Google’s headquarters of 16,145 sq. ft. in one of the most important buildings in the city, up to Google’s consolidation in a headquarters of 129,166 sq. ft.

Mr. Devar’s principal work at Coldwell Banker Commercial is to lead team projects, supervising the achievement of clients’ key goals, exceeding their expectations as well as developing long-term strategies and relations as needed according to the growth in needs of the most important companies in the country.

Raúl Estrada

Appraisals & Valuation

Director

Raúl Estrada has more than 20 years of experience in property appraisals and valuations. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Finances at the Universidad Tecnológica de México. He has collaborated with companies including SARE, CBRE, and Valuación Profesional Mexicana, participating in the appraisal of different types of buildings. Currently, Mr. Estrada specializes in office, industrial warehouse and shopping center space.

He has a specialty in real estate appraisals and has carried out property valuations for companies such as Fibra Danhos, Némesis, Daimler Chrysler and Alsea, totaling more than $5 billion dollars.

Mr. Estrada has identified profitable areas using BOMA standards at buildings such as  Artz, Corporativo Corum and Torre Skala. He has served as a professor at the Universidad Anáhuac del Norte and is certified as a Commercial Real Estate Broker.
